The Sea of my world
So much beauty and life flows through the streets, The backbone the very skeleton of the city of perpetual consciousness, The sea abruptly brakes upon the dams of red lights perched high above the heads of the sea which actually somehow gives it order, But a dam cannot hold back the sea, The sea only momentarily yields even than drops escape defying all controls, The rush of the sea is highly concentrated in the center of the island & dissipates towards the north, Up, Up, Up Where there seems to be more space, but that is an illusion, It's just that the sea has thinned in intensity, I revel in the wake of juicy flesh as it rushes past my eyes surrounding my own flesh with it's power, Each a soul that breathes but none will be seen by my eyes again, I wish I could drink from it, Come bathe with me A Poem by Stephanie Chisholm 2005
What my Art is All About
I believe this Poem perfectly shows how I see the world with all of it's constant changing power. Each day I keep my eyes wide open because inevitably I see something that everyone sees everyday. But for me these images are daily treasures. I capture this in my notebook or digital camera. I have to capture it. All these images are like beautiful butterflies that must be displayed. I could look at the same thing millions of New Yorkers see but somehow they are not taken in by the beauty. So I show the world what I see. That was my art is about. It's actually simple. My art is just sharing the beauty I see while I frolick through my life. I hope it makes you happy because it gives me joy. Please come and Share that Joy with me
